Why do my muscles ache? I keep stretching every now and then to get the ache out of the muscles, and I wonder what is the reason for it. I am not old, and won't be for a long, long time. Could it be calcium deficiency? Or could it be because I am too lazy to exercise? Please help, someone...

i think it could be many reasons, you really need to go to the doctor and get it checked out,and if there is nothing wrong, check your diet and excerise as other people have suggested.i have a painful knee and it just aches,i found the cause and it is my cartlidge in my knee,so i need to do specific excerises to strenghten my knee and the pain goes away,so get checked out first and take it from there

Hi positiveminded1977, Yes. The muscle aches are due to your laziness to exercise. Remember that every thing we eat will be digested and converted to the form of energy. The diet we take will not be converted totally in our stomach in to energy. In stomach the diet we take will be digested till an absorption stage and this stage is called 'chyle'(not totally digested). This chyle is absorbed in to the body's blood stream through intestines. Again the 'chyle' undergoes conversion process and finally in to energy, and this energy is absorbed by the muscle cells to get strength. This process is called 'Transamination'. For this process you require certain body enzimes. Further your muscle should exhaust its energy, so that it can receive further energy(like,if your stomach is full, how can you take food again). To exhaust the energy of your muscles you require physical Movements. Exercise is one of the physical movement. Your muscle aches indicates that your present physical movement is not sufficient and needs more. Once you start exercise, you will not have this problem. So, start exercise and be healthy. Good Luck.

Thanks, season! That was a really good informative post. I believe you are right. My work requires me to sit in front of the PC all the time and I hardly get a chance to move around. I guess I am so full of unused energy that I ache all over. ok, about time for me to do something about it.
