I never took one but my textbook in legal medicine says it is not accurate all the time.If the person is used to lying, the test will not detect it

Yes they do work and No they do not. I have taken one in the past by the police (Damaged a persons car in a fight when I was 18) I did break the cars window, but the lie detector said I was telling the truth. It just reads your heartbeat etc, so just really believe in your head that you did not do wrong, and stay very calm. You will pass.
