Why do so many chose a dog as their pet. I know I would if I was allowed one.?

Why do so many chose a dog as their pet. I know I would if I was allowed one.? Also say if you wouldn't chose a dog. If so, you can say what animals you like.

Because i think it is a very faihful animal than all the other pets.

I have always had a dog since I was little. I choose them over cats because they are so loyal and fun to be around. They love you unconditonally no matter who you are or what you have done. Cats are scary and sneeky, so I never have them. I can't imagine not ever having a dog. I have one now that is 15 and when she passes away I will not get another one, because they are costly and very dependant.
