My darling daughter whom I'm always writing about because she's such a little monster has a rash. She's allergic to everything. She can't have chocolate, rice, red or blue dyes, etc. Well, I'm trying to potty train her and obviously the laundry soap is not agreeing with her little cheekies! They are beat red from her wearing panties. The rest of her don't break out, only her rear end because she's not used to having the laundry soap touch her there because of the diaper. I've tried applying a thin coat of vaseline and A&D ointment, but it doesn't seem to help. Does anyone have any ideas? I don't want to change soaps cause it took me a long time to find one she doesn't break out to. And if I change it now, she's going to be broke out ALL over!
Please Please someone have an answer! :-)
Thanks
~Stephanie

You should call your doctor to get the dosage, but is she is having an allergic reaction Benedryl (or the generic form) should help.
You should try a fragrance free soap. I believe Arm & hammer makes one. You may also want to try the soap they make to use on baby clothes...I think it is called Dreft.

You should try using something that is completely free of fragrances.
