My First Christmas Gift

I just received my first(and possibly only), Christmas gift a short while ago. My ex phoned me and said he was coming over and that he had something for me. I didn't give it too much thought. I was speechless, however, when he presented me with the most beautiful gold bracelet I've ever owned. Of course I immediately put it on my wrist. This did so much for my spirits and I am truly thankful.

Wow! Are you sure things are over between the two of you? Its not that I want to meddle in your love affair but as an observation of an disinterested party, I think both of you still want each other. If you're history, why would he still give you a gold bracelet? Its normal for you to be happy because who wouldn't want that as a gift. Maybe he still likes you. Is the golden bracelet doing the trick? Are you having doubts of having him back in your arms? LOL. That's your private life but I'm happy for you. If he's that serious about you, why not have him back? Good luck!

It's a long story, mermaid, but after living together for 20 years we decided we couldn't live together any longer. We do still care about each other though.

That was very thoughtful of him, not many would even think of giving their exes anything..

Wow! What a truly wonderful present, clearly you are blessed with having such a great ex! Most ex's wouldn't even give you the time of day, let alone a gold bracelet! Well done you deserve it! Happy Christmas my dear friend.

thank you wolfie. I suppose it comes from living together for so long, and we do get on well most of the time.

You don't have any family or friends to celebrate and exchange gifts with? I am sorry. I guess the true gift of the Holidays is friends and family and you have many friends on Mylot. I am at my parents for the holidays. My grandmother is coming over tonight and we will open the many gifts she has purchased for us. Then tomorrow we will open the gifts that we bought for each other. I wish you a happy holiday.

On the contrary, Aurone, I have plenty family. It's just that they have become so self-absorbed that nobody wants to go to any trouble to try and get together anymore. My youngest daughter will be bringing my dinner for Christmas and we will exchange gifts. I have a good friend who lives in my building whom I will also spend some time with. We have already exchanged gifts. I am happy that you have family to share your holidays with. Merry Christmas!

Needless to say, gabs, it is the high point of my Christmas Experience, so far, this year. Now I am waiting for Christmas dinner(provided by my baby girl), which she tells me is by now a done deal.

That's great, world. Perhaps your ex doesn't want to be your ex anymore? Anyway, congratulations on a beautiful Christmas gift.

We have a sort of understanding, blueunicorn, that is that we do love each other but cannot live together for long periods. It works well for both of us.

Ha-ha, congratulation. I just received my first gift too. it is a card from a company which cooperated with our company, what's worse, it didn't congratulate the christmas, but new year. it said "Best wishes for your happiness and good health throughout the new year". it was simple, but warm.
