I note that everything i do in office is increasingly gettig tied to my computer-my memos and other communications are easily filed in my computer than in physical files-when power goes off, i almost have nothing to do in my office; for those of us working in offices, can you function anymore without a computer today?

Hello dear academic friend. As my job is concerned with teaching, it would be nice to have a computer to make some preparations for my teaching job on my computer, which is now the habit of mine. Thanks.

Hello dear academic friend. Just now when I finished responding to your latest discussion about teachers, I lost my connection and it made me so annoyed and the internet speed is now very slow here this evening. I love that topic and would find other time to respond to it again. I am sorry for losing the connection and my response to it. Sorry.

i think it depends on the kind of work being done. for example, here in our office we have different divisions with different kinds of work. there are divisions which has a minimal use of computer and there are divisions that highly depend on a computer. in our division we don't really need a computer because we still file documents manually, record them manually and type some files using a typewriter. although using a computer would make the work faster. but somehow, the office believes working manually is economical than using computers. nevertheless, in our division, we can still function without a computer. ^__^

You are very right there! I see in the Library at the Uniersity where I work, the typewriters still are very useful office tools!

I would find it very difficult to do my job without a computer since I am involved in software application support. So, without a computer, it would be like having a TV but with no electricity... LOL!
