bhutto's assassination - thoughts and feelings?

the news broke last evening around 9pm. Benazir Bhutto was feared dead. It was finally confirmed by surgeons who tried unsuccessfully to save her life that she was killed by a suicide sniper come bomber. Many others perished with her in the blast. As did more than 130 on the day she returned to Pakistan. Her ideal and mission was to meet the public despite the ever-present threat on her life. She had returned to the country, knowing that there were people out to kill her at all cost. She was ready to die if that was what it took. Hiding and not appearing in public was a sign of being defeated by the terrorists. She saw this as her calling as a democracy-fighter, ironic as it is to be ready to die instead of fight to preserve your life so as to fulfill the cause. What are your thoughts and feelings about this?

We should not upheld things like this.We should condemn hatred and let love be in our hearts.Terrorism is not an answer to good will whoever is the person behind this bloodshed. We Filipinos grieve for the people who love her.

It's unfortunate that she had to taken out of this world inthat way. Very good scapegoat there, that she has been assassinated by extremists. But of course, we all know that as far as Dictator Musharaff is concerned, it's good ridance, because he nver slept because of her coming back to the Pakistan political stage.

I'm disgusted by the people who believe in politics through the bomb. When they get into power (IF they ever do) will they then be suprised if they are also bombed out of power? They must think that they are doing the right thing and going about it the right way to achieve their ends. And when they do get power, will we know it was they who did all the killing to get there? Is that a good political platform to stand on?
