Where do you park your car at the store? do you like to park as close as you can so there is less distance to walk? or do you like to park far away so there are less carts left about to crash into your vehicle, and more distance to walk for greater exercise?
I like to park a fair distance, but not all the way at the outskirts of the parking lot. I also tend to park in the same area (same row and same general distance) each and every time I go to a particular store... this way I can be sure to find my car when I am ready to go. Otherwise I can not remember where I parked and looking around a huge parking lot is a lot more exercise than I desire, hehe.

I park toward the end of the lot, farthest from the door. I do this for several reasons. Seems in the spots near the door, one is more likely to have people open their car doors and bang them into the side of your car. Towards the end of the lot, there are spots with no cars on either side of mine. I also worry, as you pointed out, about folks allowing carts to bang into my car. Lastly, I need the exercise!!! Ha!

I normally park my car as close as I can. It's not because of the exercise, or lack of it though. I notice that some people like to zip on through the parking spaces that are empty. Of course these are the spaces that are further away and I'd hate for someone to ram into my car due to it being in one of these parking spaces.
I also like to park in or near the same spot. I'd hate to lose my car all because I forgot that I parked it in a different part of the parking lot! :P

I like to park in a row that has both up and down arrows when possible. This way I can go out the same way that I came in. I also have a certain store I usually park near when I go to the mall. I am familiar with the in and out, that way there is not so much confusion if I have been there for a long period of time.
