Popular online games deal with what you describe. Also things like identity and transactions are open to having keyloggers exploitation. Keyloggers send typed info to other places/servers, like another responder described. They can be found on websites, bad links or programs. Note that "risker" internet behavior leads to a better chance of getting a keylogger (and other malware). To avoid it, try getting a firewall, a link scanner/checker and avoid suspicious net behavior.

My friend's account in RAN Online has recently been hacked. I know many people who have been hacked through the game and it's because of keyloggers mostly.

Being hacked through the game? Brutal. Usually its either lower end or unsecured games that have this. I think I've heard of a couple of in-game keylogging/hijacking on some of the higher end games too. But typically, the keylogging takes place via other sites (bad links, squatter sites, copycat/phish sites) or programs (bad game add-ons for one)
