For close to 2 years I was able to learn to speak fluent tagalog and the bicol dialect in Ragay/Naga City Camarines Sur. It is rare to find half fiipinos to speak that tough language - the bicol dialect was the first language I learned in my time staying in the Philippines when I opened my business there. I later on learned tagalog when I then stayed in Laguna/Manila area with my other relatives. So what are your known dialects you speak in the Philippines?

I live here in Cavite, the language we speak are tagalog or is now what we call the flipino language. I have been to my mother's province, in Aklan which is located on the western Visayas Region. I believe their language was what they call, Hiligaynon but I'm not fluent in speaking it. I also met some Ilonggos there, when I was having a vacation and that's the language I am much aware of.
I've been to Bicol as well, I have a friend who's from Daet, Camarines Norte and we've been there many times already..

Exactly - from Cavite, Luzon, Manila, Metro Manila and Quezon City - the main dialect of the filipino language is Tagalog. Of course everyone of them has their own tagalog speaking, grammar, slang and pronunciations.

I was born in Manila, I grew up there. And the only dialect that i speak is Tagalog. But I can understand Bisaya and Bikolano dialects. And right now, I live here in Tagaytay City, Cavite, and the dialect here is Tagalog but with a little Batangeno style...Ala eh!!! LOL

Since I grew up in Mindanao, I know how to speak "Bisaya" the mindanao way, and since my parents are Ilonggo, in a way I understand speak Ilonggo, and of course I know how to speak Tagalog. I can decipher words in Ilocano but can hardly speak the language. :D

I grew in the visayas so I speak cebuano. Cebuano's from negros oriental actually knows how to speak Illonggo since negros occidental lies just next to it. I learned tagalog in Filipino classess. All in all, I can speak 3 Filipino dialects. My Illonggo is more of an imitative mockery. They have funny accents.
