hairstyle and face shapes

What's the best type of hairstyle or hair cut for different kinds of face shapes? I know there are shapes like heart-shaped, long, oval (not sure?) and even square type of face.
Mine is heart shaped and I want to try on a new hair style. I've had it long for quite some time now and I don't know what other type of hair style could I try on?

I think your best hair style would be to have short hair. Long hair would make your face look longer. But I really think you should go to your hairdresser and ask for her advice because it isn't just the shape of your face that makes a difference. It is also if you wear make up and lipstick and the colors you wear. It is also your personality that has a lot to do with it. Also while you are at the salon check out the books there. There are usually a lot of different hair styles in the books that you should be able to find one you like and then ask your hairdresser about that one.
