Speaking of computer hardware - dating back at December 2005 I built a PC for my dad which included an LG DVD Burner - multi-format 16X speed - it is now 2008 and it is still running good to this day. I can't keep track or count how many CD's and DVD's he has burned on it - not once did it crash or once did we have to replace it. I've had other brands such as Liteon, NEC, Pioneer, Optorite and have had them wear out and crash, no longer able to burn anymore. So I stick to LG now - always the best top recommended dvd burner in the market.

I am using a BENQ 16x dvd writer for the last 3 years and it is still giving me service more than enough. I brought it in December 2004 in $60. I think it has burned more than 4000 copy of cd and dvds. I am very lucky that still it is ok. but if someday it fails then I have aplan to buy a LG dvd writer because it is long lasting and very cheap. Right now the price of a LG 20x DVD Writer is only $30 in price.
