Pet a Flamingo

In my interest file, I have 'pet a flamingo' as something I want to do someday. There are no (live) flamingos around here, none in zoos, just none. But I like flamingos, and thought, what the heck? Let's dream big! LOL
So what is the most unusual thing you have on your interest list as what you hope to do someday?

I always wanted to get into a spaceship or go to Area 51 and meet a real live alien from outer space. I wanted to get to see his planet, but then I would have to take my husband along and I suppose the rest of the family. I have no other strange things, I do not think going to the Empire State Building or to New York City would count. I am not that much into weirdness. I suppose you could pet one of those pink flamingo ornaments. They are really big here in Canada.

Well I don't know if you can consider this "unusual"...it's just something I would love to do with my life...one of them being going on a genuine African safari photo adventure thing..to see wild animals IN the real wild and not in zoos.

thats a neat thing to do want to do! they have flamingos at the OKC zoo, but I dont believe they are "petable"...Ive always wanted to pet an Elephant or a big ole Ape!! =]

When did they get the flamingos at the zoo? I've been there a lot, but granted, not in the last 10 years. Now someone is going to have to be my spotter while I sneak in the exhibit to pet one. Who can you spare, Courtney or Catelyn? LOL
I bet someday you can pet an ape. I mean you'd have to meet the right facility, but some places have a hands on exhibit, as long as there are only a few people in there at a time. I'd like to hug an oragatan. I spelled that wrong, I know it.

Hug a California Redwood or Sequoia....guess that's not too unusual but the unusual part comes next. I would like to be able to know and see everything over the hundreds of years its lived, if that makes any sense, hahaha....like the changes in the area, the weather it stormed through, the growth of the land...etc., I know, I'm weird, lol!

Surely the OKC zoo has flamingos, doesn't it? Of course they will not let you pet them. I do not have anything strange on my interest list, at this time. I just would like to be given a million dollars. Hey, have you ever been to the Arbuckle Wilderness, south of you about an hour? We went there on our honey moon and came away with ostrich slobber on our mirrors, and got chased by hungry donkeys, and our windows got licked by camels. It was fun. I do not know if they have flamingos either, though. My husband has petted a warthog, and picked a possum out of our cherry tree, and taken milk bottles off the heads of skunks, and carried a bat home in his shirt. Who says I don't love the wild life.

No, I've been to the OKC zoo several times and no flamingos. I don't think they could keep them healthy year round in this weather. I HAVE been to Arbuckle Wilderness. My mom got slobbered on by a giraffe because my dad held food over head. He didn't mind his steering wheel was covered in drool, he just thought it was hilarious to see my mom try to get away from the giraffe! LOL
You guys have your own wildlife refuge in your backyard! You could charge money. : )

I don't think I have it here as my interest this is kind of the weirdest idea I've had a while ago that I will take a shower in the car wash as it washes the car. I guess I can call it "combo wash"
