This is a shot of the ice crystals formed on my back screen door window this morning. I woke up to minus 3 degrees with windchills of 20 below zero. This shot was taken sitting on the floor looking up at the window and ice crystals. It gives it a 3 dimensional appearance to it. The creamy looking colors is actually the sun shining through the ice crystals. This also gives the photo sort of an eerie look. So what do you think of this shot? All comments are appreciated. Thanks in advance all. Have a great day/evening. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Hi Grandpa Bob, Wow, you do have it really cold there, at the moment. Our temperatures are out of the minuses (at the moment), but I'm sure we'll be back in 'the deep freeze' before we know it. That's quite the amazing photo. If I didn't know better, I'd think that it was 'Santa's beard,' only Santa's been eating some custard. hehehe

I see I must be fond of saying 'at the moment.' That's what I get for not checking before posting.

Wow... another awesome pic! I love these, as I said in my comment on your picture, it puts me in mind of lots of tiny, white feathers. It's amazing the way you've been able to capture individual formations. Another one for a photo competition! Go for it! Brightest Blessings.

You did a great job capturing individual crystals in this shot. Very good! You should look into submitting your pics to some of the photography sites! Could make a little money on it!

When you woke up to minus 3 with a windchill factor of minus 20, it was probably 40 degrees c (110f ) HERE!! I can see individual snowflakes in this photo, I think! With the two different colours, it comes out very pretty.

We are suffering the same temps here as well, Grandpa Bob. The fireplace finally needs the help of the gas appliance to keep the house at 63 degrees. This wind chill sucks thou. I love the cold but not this COLD. brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr You may have ice crystals on your door but I have them on my floor right inside the house by all the doors. Time to buy new door sweeeps. The towels I put down will do for now till I can get some.
