oh the pain! it is okay when I am standing still, or sitting with my foot firmly planted, but the moment I lift my foot up off the ground.... eyOWie! it is like my heel is sliced open and deep, throbbing sharp pain. is this what bone spurs are?

Sounds like it could be!The medical name is plantar fasciitis. And it is painful. Have you done anything to hurt yourself recently? another cause could be a stress fracture. You could also have tendonitis. I can only tell you what they told me I had tendonitis. 1. Avoid going barefoot. Puts undo stress on the area. 2. Stretching exercises. Exercises that stretch out the calf muscles help ease pain 3. Ibuprofen helps with inflammationand pain. It's also inexpensive. 4. Call your dr.

when you lift it off the floor? i have a spur in my knee, and if i kneel down to scrub the floor,i am extremely sorry for doing so. it's usually when i have weight on it that triggers the pain though.
