When People Don't Understand You

Do you get annoyed, frustrated or sigh heavily when people cannot understand you through emails? Have you sent an email to someone and they have replied back saying that they don't understand you or don't understand what you are trying to get at, complain about, or query?
Do you look again at the email you have sent and think what is wrong with it? The question or query is so blatantly clear, why wasn't it understood?
Do you send another one and reword it or do you send it again
Do you give up
If it's a new site for example you have used does it put you off using that site again if they can't understand you
Or do you politely 'warn' them that if they don't answer your question you will report them, higher or to another body?

I will politely send the Email back and ask what is so hard to understand and would they please reply to my query instead of trying to make it hard
And if they still send it back saying they do not understand I just leave the Site and thats it for me as far as I am concerned I make it quite plain and if they do not understand a simple question then there is something wrong
So I guess I get frustrated lol after the second time

I get annoyed . May be frustated sometimes. it is the case many times i get. Like when i wrote in email about my problem stepwise to bank's customer care, it seems they did not understood it cklearly. they sent back an email saying write clearly what you want to ask. I felt annoyed and replied.

It is very annoying if we cannot make ourselves understood. I usually have this happen to me when I speak to someone from a remote area, who can not understand my standard mandarine and cannot even speak mandarine, but local dialects. Then I have to repeat for my friend who understand the local dialect and work as my interpreter for both of us. hehehe.

I can't say this has ever happened to me, but I have been missunderstood or not understood, in real life. It frustrates me to no end when I am telling my opinion of something and they just don't get it. I eventually just give up and say whatever. I don't try to push my opinion on others, but sometimes I try to tell my hubby something and he just doesn't get it. This is why I am a member here in mylot. I can say what I want to say and nobody can tell me other wise. I can state my opinions and if someone doesn't understand me, oh well. I at least get to state it and I don't get so frustrated with it.

Yes!!! I have often sent off questions in e-mail and gotten replies back that go on and on, but never really seem to address my question! It drives me nuts when I've asked something simple in a very forthright manner and end up having to read through miles of tripe that dance all around the subject but never address it head on.
I have often had to write back and say "that's all well and good and I thank you for the information, but...!!!!!! I asked you a question and you did NOT answer it. Once again, I'm asking you .... blal blah blah?????"
And usually, after being very direct and a trifle rude I've rarely had to threaten to go "over someone's head" to get an answer.

If they cannot understand me, I sometimes feel as if I have to write down to them and I do not like doing that, so I sort of explain it in ones, twos, threes and as simply as possible. I take it that even though I consider my vocabulary not up to college standards - never having taken academic grade eleven and twelve, I consider at that time that the teacher was explaining things, they were gazing at the lovely scenery out the window.

Initially I thought you were talking about emailing friends or family. I think most of them have got the hang of me by now, so I have no problems there.
On the other hand, I do get really wound up when I contact a service provider, like my ISP or BT or credit card company or a website that I'm a member of with a query and I get a bulk standard response telling me to select an answer from a list of "crappy" responses, none of which help me at all. I always make sure I exhaust all avenues before I bother contacting customer services as I know how useful most of these departments are having had lots of experience of laid back and incompetent staff over the years. My bigesst bug bear is when they reply saying something like "I understand your problem" and then go on to give me a response which clearly shows that they DID not understand the problem. Hey, I've done counselling courses, I know a bog standard response when someone wants to talk out their problems is "I hear you" or "I understand what you're going through" to encourage them to open up, this is seriously not the way to deal with customer service inquiries GRRRR! LOL I'm glad I got that off my chest wolfie hun! Thanks for letting me vent! x

Sweets,
I find either it's worth it for me to take the time to try to be understood or I move on to something that fits me better..
Sometimes it's a matter of fit!
..I have a good sized downline in my Shaklee business. I help each one as much as I can but there are some that no matter what I do and the fact that I have grown a good residual makes no difference to them..They just have to do other then what is working for myself..my upline..to succeed..but they are running in circles tring to reinvent the wheel..Well bottom line is the wheel is working so why not use it! But some will continue to waste time and not pay attention to the easy thing laid out...
My question is are you tring to take the crooked road when the straight easy path is there for the traveling?
Just something for you to think about Doll..

People are forever getting confused with me. I have a habit of speaking quite fast when I'm excited so that's difficult to keep up with, & when I'm mad my vocabulary goes right out of the wondow, I end up trying to say words that come out all wrong & then I get frustrated that my words don't sound like they should so it gets even worse.
But seriously, if people don't understand me, I just re-phrase it and if they still don't undertsand I can always draw a map!
