I just put some Advantage flea repellent on my cat, and she is none too happy with me. She made an unhappy face, squinted her eyes, and laid her ears flat back on her head at me. I think she was surprised at the cold liquid between her shoulders, but it's for her own good! She's actually allergic to flea saliva and takes a long time to heal from bites. Sigh...it's hard to do something to your pet that you know they hate but it's worth it for their health. This picture isn't from today, btw :P

Hi beeeckie! I dont use flea repellent on my cats at all. You see Ive been washing my two cats since they were little kittens.LOL They are so used to getting a bath now. I give them a bath once a month. And in the summer months I do use flea shampoo on them. But they have never any flea problems. The only thing they dont like is when I use the blow dryer on them.heheheh

Poor kitty! I have a dog who is prone to ear gunk buildup so the vet said to wash her ears out with peroxide occasionally to keep the gunk from causing an infection. She hates it and tries to run from me when she sees that bottle of peroxide!

Aww...you're good to keep doing it, though. Hydrogen peroxide or just peroxide? One of our dogs is prone to ear issues too (when she was rescued she had major cauliflower ear from abuse) so it's hard to keep clean :(

We just did the same to our cat today. I can't believe that there are fleas alive with the cold, cold weather we have had, but apparently there are some still alive! Our cat never goes outside but our dog does. I feel that the dog brings them in and then they get on the cat. Our cat HATES it when we put the stuff on him! He tries and tries to get his tongue to the spot we place the liquid!

None of my cats enjoy having Advantage applied between their shoulder blades, but at least, they are not scratching! That stuff works wonders. I'm sure that your kitty will forget her experience and go back to loving you. After all, you've treated her well and she probably intuits that. Best of luck.

One of my girls hates advantage too. Last time I put it on her she gave me a dirty look then promptly walked over to the printer and peed on the paper! Love those cats!

We do have the same problem with my cat. I can't think of any remedy.
