reading messages on phone

hi everyone,i was wondering if trhere is anyone here who will do just anything to read the sms on their spouses' phone,do you think its a good habit that should be encouraged?has anyone has any experience that made checking your spouses"sms worthwhile or a negative result?share with us please.

I have read my husbands before just to prove a point to him. He said he didn't text exact words to me but I had to prove to him otherwise, LOL. I just wanted him to see that I wasn't making something up and that I was right about what he said on there.

well its sometimes necessary for you to know the best way to tell your husband when it comes to that cos most times confrontation causes problems

Yes. I know what you mean. We have alot of faith and trust in each other right now, but if I ever have doubts, I would do check it also.

I used to check the phone when i got the chance, but then i started to realize that it made me mad, but the msg's were not BAD enough for me to say anything, espeically not to admit that i was looking at the phone lol. well i guess he found out anways, but at the time, i didn't want to get caught. I ended up realizing it was causing me more frusteration and anger to look at the phone then to just leave it alone. So now i never touch the stupid thing. Plus he doesn't tap away on it half as much as he used to. It really used to make me mad that he could never put that darn thing down for a second.
