Working durto learn responsibilty?

This semester during school, I am thinking about working this year for a little extra money. Also, my time management skills aren't the best, so I figured the best way to learn how to manage my time would be to work and learn some balance between school and work. Also, if I worked, I would learn better money management, and would have to ask my paretns less for money. If sure they would appreciate that. Do you think this is a good idea? I welcome all feedback!
