Marker drawings on wall

My 2 year old took some markers the kind kids use for drawing and coloring that are not washable on her bedroom wall. We live in an apartment so the walls need to be free of that when we move. I've tried goo gone and rubbing alcohol and its still there. The rubbing alcohol takes off the paint and so does fingernail polish remover. I'm starting to think we're going to have to repaint her bedroom!!!

try the magic erasers from mr. clean, as long as its white walls, they work pretty well. your apartment manager should be able to give you some touch up paint before you move out too, so you can cover the minor areas that needs it, but so far the magic erasers have worked magic on my house!

they work pretty well on textured walls, if the walls are sharp or have deep groves, then they wont work. from what i can tell, they are a type of white wash and just cover whats on there for markers. get some at your local dollar store and try it, that way, you are only out a dollar if they dont work. Or there are always coupons for them in the local paper.

oh dear, are you planning on moving soon? have you tried the magic eraser pads put out by mr clean, I think. they are good with grease spots, not sure about indelible marker... also, you might could get an ink eradicator. if you do not have much luck, call your building manager and check - a lot of places will paint the walls when a tenant leaves, anyhow.

We're not planning on moving soon. I just want her bedroom neat looking for pictures since we've been decorating. A friend of ours used to live here and they told him he could paint h is apartment as long as he repainted it white when he moved out. I don't mind painting over her marks, but if I don't have to buy paint I'd rather not!!

Have you tried one of those mr clean magic erasers? they work pretty good on stuff like that. I would give that a try. Hope it works for you!
