My wife and I went to Mystic Lake Casino overnight Sunday once again. She is getting to finally like going there. Mainly to the freebies I have been getting as of latre. She really loves the china set they have been offering as a comp the past 2 months. One more visit to finish the whole set. Anyhow we had fun. But we had forgot that Monday was MLK Day. Therefore no school here. Meaning there were a lot of families with their kids staying there. So we decided to just use the exercise room and whirlpool. The pool was full of rowdy noisy kids so we avoided it like the plague. HAHAHA! We also did not eat at the buffet as we had a big brekfast. We just had a couple burgers & fries from there was it for dinner. Do you avoid swimming pools when they are jammed full of kids? Oh and no we did not win anything. We lost maybe $100 total between us the whole day Sunday is all. Average for our free stays. HAHAHAHA!!

well, $100 in total is not too bad for a night at a nice hotel and meals and entertainment.
yes i definitely avoid swimming pools full of kids. who knows what they do inside?! haha, that is speaking from experience of course.
i usually avoid going on holidays overseas during the school holidays because noisy kids throwing tantrums at every venue i visit isn't my idea of fun. :)

my question is did you find sometime to enjoy yourself and your wife? because for me i will not jump on a swimming pool full of children,,maybe i will watched them,,or i will find some other place to enjoy if can..

We sat in the hot tub together then we watched a movie in the hotel room afterwards. So we spent our time together.

I look at this as a form of entertainment is all. I love going there and do not spend a lot of money plus I get free gifts as well. It's all just entertainment to us. Thanks.

I've never been to a Casino myself but it sounds like it would be fun although I wouldn't like losing my money.

Hello Grandpa. It is nice to know that Grandma Debbie likes going there now with the influence of Grandpa Bob. I guess that you must have had a lot of fun there in Mystic Lake Casino. So there is an indoor swimming-pool there, I guess. A good place to spend the holiday you have found. Happy responding to Grandpa Bob's discussion. lol

Nope. She told me this time to make sure and get the room and china set. HAHAHA! I am the one that usually asks her about getting the comps and going there to gamble. Not this time though. Rare for her to gamble.

GRANDMA DEBBIE is very pretty and does not look like a grandma at all! Oh, yes I do avoid swimming pools when it is full of kids. haha..Don't ask me why. LOL! And a hundred dollars is a small price to pay for a stay in a grand hotel, having fun with the one you love..I guess. I am happy to know you had an amazing time and GRANDMA DEB likes going to the casino now even though it is because of the China. haha.. Take care and have a nice day! :)

I have a kid,.... and i actually enjoy watching how they scream and splash and the smiles on there faces .... its nice. I even get a smile from just watching them. to hear kids laugh is like music to my ears... it so pricless to see kids having fun and enjoying life... and even reminds me when i was a kid and how much i enjoyed the pool. I use to not like kids and it would bother me unless i was baby sitting. now i think totally diffrent.

That's great....100 for a nice day. Not to mention the FREE china set you're accumulating, which looks very nice by the way.
Like you, I would avoid the pool too if there were a bunch of kids there. It's not too relaxing when there is a bunch of screaming kids. I'm glad you and the Missus had fun!

Actually 100 dollars is a great price for a so much fun! I mean, motels, whirlpools, exercise rooms and eating out! Wow. I'd love to live near something that cheap. Oh, and how could I forget the free china? I too would have avoided the pool full of rowdy kids! Best of luck on your next visit!

February is the next free room I have reserved. It's also the cookware set that matches the China that we get as well. Had a blast and will this time coming up as well. Thanks.

Glad to hear that Grandma Deb is starting to like the casino. They can be fun IF you have the money to spare. I used to enjoy going late at nite but now that money is super tight, that is one of many luxuries I have to pass on. I hate crowded pools/beaches because it's hard to enjoy yourself when there are alot of ppl bumping into you or poking/hitting you by accident.

It still makes it a fantastic value break doeswn;t it AGB? Glad your wife is enjoying it now, means you can enjoy yourself more and relax as you aren't worried about her not having fun.
As for a swimming pool packed with rowdy, noisy kids I am afraid that is one of the few times I use them - my 2 are usually the noisiest as well! lol xxx

The best part is comped room and time together. I am glad you where able to go. Who stays with Dad when you are gone? Is he able to fend for himself when you are gone?
Debbie works so hard I am glad you where able to go and have some alone time.

Like I have said in other posts, we are staying in a hotel for about 3 weeks. We only have a little over a week left. So far we have gone to the pool and hot tub every day but one. Our daughter who is almost 2 is the only kid that I have seen in either one. I don't like a lot of splashing and stuff and neither does the baby, so if it happened to be full of kids I doubt I would go in.

Well, I guess $100 wasn't all that bad to lose but it's always better when you win. LOL Glad you guys had a good time. I don't like it when the swimming pools are crowded either.

Glad you had fun! I think I would have avoided the kids as well. That is why they give those things free, to draw you in and spend more of your money. At least you are wise not to over do it, and come out paying for all your freebies in the long run.
