This is yet another ice crystal on my door. The brown appears to be from the flas reflecting off of something. I did no editing of this one at all either. Anyhow it has the shape of a raised snowflake with a large ceter diamond doesn't it? I love looking at and photographing ice crystals. Now to get me a better digital camera so I can do even better.

Hi GRANDPA BOB! Wow! That is really beautiful! Now, that is what I am missing, all your beautifully captured photographs! That is the beauty of photographs, you can always preserve beautiful things such as that when it will be impossible to see another one exactly like that. I do agree with you that it has a shape of a raised snowflake with a large diamond at the center. I wish it is for real..and i will wear it as a brooch. hehe..Thanks for sharing this. Take care and have a nice day! :)

Thanks for showing this beautiful picture, even a snowflake and ice crystal shows there must be a great Designer who has done it all.
I don“t know how many snow and ice photos I have taken but I would need to have them in digital form to be able to show them here.
I wonder what digital camera would be best for pictures like this?

Mother nature is amazing isn't she? I use a Canon PowerShot A540 is all. It's middle of the line I'd say. Not cheap yet not exspensive either. I think it cost about $130 total was all.

That's really neat. You take some of the coolest looking pictures. I need to get my camera out and start taking more pictures and maybe I could get some neat ones too.

It is a remarkable photo of an ice crystal.
Were it not for your photos, I wouldn't have realised exactly how crystals are shaped.

Cool picture, I have never seen one like this before. This door really gets some interesting ice formations.

What a fascinating picture...it reminded me of a classical painting by one of the italian masters...i did not see it as an ice crystal... but a beautiful flower tried from dancing all night... i suggest you compile images like this and someday you might have the chance to get them published...
Nature really has its own way of saying "I am beautifull... hear me roar"....
