Has anyone else noticed that any bill that starts with "McCain" ends in a fiasco?
McCain-Feingold made a fiasco of "campaign finance reform", McCain-Leiberman bows down to the false idols of Gorebal Warming. McCain-Kennedy would grant free amnesty to every illegal alien and spit in the face of all Legal Immigrants.
I also notice that he teams up with Democrats to kow tow to Democrat platforms.
We don't need a RINO in the White House.

I agree. I really can't stand McCain. He's not the type of person to accept that he is wrong about things, and when he gets one thing in his mind, he doesn't change it. Kind of like his statement that the soldiers overseas wanted him to tell Ron Paul to "Let them win"
Really? Is that why a majority of Ron Paul's donations COME FROM military?? Is that why every person in the military I know supports Ron Paul?
McCain has it in his head that this war is OK and what we're supposed to be doing. That scares me.
This may sound naive and stupid, but the fact that he was a POW in Vietnam scares me. I don't know what kinds of ideas they put in his mind when he was over there. He could have been brainwashed. This may sound silly to some, but it's something that I'm not willing to take a chance on. Same with Obama being raised by a extremist Muslim and growing up in a Muslim school. He says he's not Muslim anymore, but, you know what, I'm not taking that chance. I have no problem with Muslims, but I don't want someone raised by an extremist Muslim running this country!

Ron Paul is the Republican "everything to everyone" candidate this time. Of all his supporters that I know, it's split about evenly between those who are for the war and those who are against it.
The ones who are for the war, but still support him either say that they doubt he'll actually be able to end the war like he thinks he can, or they aren't single issue voters and they like everything else he says (or at least what they think he says).
For me, I can't vote for any candidate with such a "blame the U.S. first" attitude. I understand taking responsibility for what is done in the name of our nation, but he doesn't miss a chance.

I think McCain is to be commended for going beyond partisan politics. Campaign finance reform and climate change policies should be get more bipartisan suypport. His position on illegal immigrants is not so different from Bush and other conservatives, and is practical and humane. And with all the polarized politics, his willingness to see merit and work with Dems is refreshing.
Is it only on MyLot that global warming is not taken seriously, and that Gore doesn't get any respect? This seems totally out of step with every body else, from the average person in the street, to power companies, the administration (though not enough)), and the rest of the world.

If you think Gore only gets dissed here at MyLot, you need to get out more.
McCain has blocked Republicans every chance he's gotten. He is a RINO (Republican In Name Only). He's a Vietnam vet and former POW, but has blocked attempts by our government to investigate the POWs who are still held by North Vietnam. He isn't Bipartisan, he is pro Democrat.
I do respect a few things about him as a person. I respect his military service, his former POW status and his support for the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. I also respect him for stating his views as he sees things. The problem is, everything he touches turns to crap.

I do need to get out more. 8^D
I think 'turns to crap' is harsh. He fighting against a tide of partisan politics. That his attempts to resolve some major issues fail is not necessary his fault in making the attempt, more a symptom of the governmental problems in general. At least, that's one way to look at it.
I'm sure he has his reasons for aligning himself with the Republicans. The Republican party have not always been so ideological (thinking of Rockefeller Republicanism, for instance). Maybe McCain is more of true Republican than the others, depending on what you believe Republicanism is.

Not selling out your country to be part of the "Get along Gang" would be the first requirement.

You left out that he was one of the Keating 5, a corruption scandal. The man is a RINO and corrupt. Who needs that? Not me, not you, and not America.
