Why would anyone want to become a storm chaser? I know the information they can document regarding tornadoes can be valid but it seems so dangerous. I'd see a tornado coming my direction and would pee all over myself..lol Do you know anyone who does this kind of job?

Well I understand why people would want to do it, but that doesn't keep me from thinking they are absolutely insane. It's all about the thrill really and some people really find storms fascinating. And, we really do learn valuable information from storm chasers. Without those crazies running around, we may not understand storms as much as we do now. And I personally don't know anyone that does that job.

Honestly I've never known anyone who is a storm chaser and have never done it myself but I am a 'storm watcher'. I'm terrified of basements, the safe place to be during a tornado, so I'll be the one out watching for the tornado and when I actually see it will run to the basement - I always send kids and everyone else down as soon as we get a watch or warning :)

I don't know of anyone who does that for a living but I do know some who love to watch lightning and watch storms coming in. I have been in a couple of small tornado's and that was bad enough. If I saw a big one coming Iwould not only pee all over myself I would leave a trail behind me as I ran away. haha
