I feel the same way. I have felt this way for years. Every time I try to enjoy something in my life, it never goes right. I have almost given completely up to try to enjoy anything anymore. I waste my time and all I do is work. I feel like I am just not meant to be happy in life at all.

Thank you. I know how you feel. I have always been teased and taunted all my life by other people and thought as I grew older things would get better for me and change. That is not the case at all. The only friend that I have is my husband who even tries to understand me any at all. I'm sorry you lost your friend. I will be so alone if my husband should pass on before me. I do have a daughter though, but she will have her own life to lead by then most likely. I have never had a true friend. No one seems to value things like I do. They always judge me before they know what a kind heart I have. Instead, they use me and abuse me verbally and mentally.

Sorry to hear that. . .all my life I've been somewhat of a shy, pessimistic person with very few true friends. One of them I had lost recently and is younger than me. He and I shared a lot of interests and was like somewhat of a younger sibling to me. Its one of the reasons why I dont want to let go of these hobbies so easily. I feel that if I do I'm going to forget anything happy I've had with my friend. So this is where I'm emotionally stuck.

Hobbies don't just come as easily as it does on letting them go. You build interest as time passes and it also occurs that you lose interest on them as well. I use to play TCGs before, I got a huge stack of them stored somewhere but now, I don't even play them anymore. Now I'm trying to collect Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Play Arts Action Figures. There's nothing wrong when we just lose interest on things we use to enjoy. It just means that we've out grown them. However, for every change that occurs to us, something would always reciprocate the absence sooner or later.

Mm. I don't think I've outgrown them though. Not in my case anyway. And its not just hobbies either. . .everything is getting uninteresting to me gradually. . .even though I still do them as part of a daily routine I do. I'd like to change something that'll maybe change this cycle. .and get me interested in things again. But I appreciate your opinion. I used to collect Pokemon cards too. . .I never played them though because I never cared to learn the rules lol.

Well, you just figured it out yourself. Just do something different from the routine that you have been doing for a long time then. Something might strike you as interesting and everything from the usual might as well follow and with that new perspective, become interesting again for you. I too gave thought to how predictable my routine was during college. I usually get up early, prepare for school, do the two hour trip, get things over with at school with the subjects and/or pass assignments or projects, then get home as soon as possible if not spend some free time at the mall with no particular reason what-so-ever on going there to begin with. As if nothing really was progressing or changing for the better. But then, I just gave attention to what really mattered at the moment which took my worries away about the mundane ^_^

Oh that’s typical in me. It’s like I’m so crazy of something today and after few days I barely think of doing it anymore. I have so many outdoor hobbies before out of friend’s encouragement but it’s now all gone. Three hobbies that I can’t throw away are reading, bum on my bed, and surfing the Internet. Hehehe..
