but Saddam wanted us to think that he did have them! http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,325785,00.html Yes, he led the world to believe he had them, figuring the US would slap him on the back of the hand again instead of an full scale invasion. Does this new news at all change your opinion about Bush's decision to invade?

I hate to say that to was all about oil. Maybe I am wrong, but for me it was not smart move. Look where we are now. Bush-s will be next used instead of other famous word....(can not say because of site restrictions)

Oil may have been a part of it, but I think the WMD was also a big factor and the fact that Saddam was deliberately misleading the world about the WMD and the fact that he was trying to annihilate so many people does make a big difference.

But it he hadn't gone in on the grounds he did, what if the WMD were there and they were used over here on us? Then eveyone would be saying "Why didn't he go in when he knew about the WMD? Bad Bush! You knew and you did nothing!" YOu can't take what you know now and use to to rationalize past decisions as to being right/wrong, good or bad.

I had told myself that I would not get into politics or religion on here but I will respond to this. I may regret it and I hope I don't make enemies but I never did approve of Bush's decision to invade. This is like another Viet Nam to me.

Oh yes, in many ways it is. But if this many was planning on developing WMDs, that makes it entirely different. North VietNam did not have that capability. Very different.

Just cause we didn't find what we were looking for (possibly yet), doesnt' mean they aren't there. Like most criminals, Saddam is wicked, evil and vile, but stupid he is not. USA is regluated by "the right thing to do", Saddam is not - he does whatever he wants no matter who gets killed. And who do you believe - Saddam when he says he doesn't have any or the USA when they say he does? Gotta believe one way or the other... Throw in the fact that if you are right, that Saddam just wanted us to believe he had them when he didn't....when do we know if he is lying or telling the truth?

Yes, so many people are blaming Bush for the not finding WMD..but you know Saddam himself was setting the whole thing up.
