Which breed, in your opinion, has the best dispsition?

there is no one breed many breeds have great dispositions just depends what you are looking for

I would prefer a dog that does not bark. If one has a dog that barks is there a way to get them to stop barking and if so, how?

Best disposition huh? The top 3 I think are Golden Retrievers, Labradors (of any color) and beagles. Granted all 3 are very high strung for the first few years (they have a long puppy-hood), but all three are great with people, other pets and kids.
