Focus groups...have you ever participated?

I signed up a while back for this company to call or email me if they had any focus groups I could participate in. I have never done this before. Well, I got my first phone call about 2 minutes ago. The lady asked me a few yes/no questions and I answered them. She said if my answers fell into the category of people they are looking for that she would call me back in 10 minutes to let me know where to go from there. So have you ever participated in them? If so, how much extra money did you make?

I've only done one, but it was me and about 8 other women (varying ages), and the focus group was about diapers. We sat in a room for like 2 hours, watched a presentation, watched a video, vocalized our thoughts, wrote stuff down and then it was over. I got 100 dollars cash. Not bad for 2 hours of talking and watching commercials.

Sounds like an interesting way to make some extra money! I wonder if there are any in our area? i might just check it out. Good luck with yours!
