Recently mylot made it so your level for certain interests is shown, going from level 1 to 16. Level 16 is the best. Do you like this? I really like it because it encourages me to write more and get my levels as close to 16 as possible. It makes it more fun!

I dont really understand the levels. Some of my discussions are a 15, and others are a 6. Sometimes they are each as long as the other, and just as informative. So I dont really get it. And some peoples discussions are not that good and they get like a level 12. Maybe you can explain this level thing a little better for me. I have been a mylot member for over a year now, but I did take a few month off. When I came back the levels were set in place, and I have kind of just ignored them.

Yes, that's the purpose of it. Our level increases whenever we start or respond as we participate on that interest. It increases if we receive a fair rating from it, from other responders or mostly from the thread host. The only interest that I am at level 16 is the "people" category, since I most likely go through these types of posts that discusses about human and their behavior..

I really like the different levels and I agree, I think they encourage you to post more and more. I personally thought we started at level 1 and were striving to get up to 16. There seems to be a little confusion here though....

Well, the mylot levels are okay... i compare them to a grading system... the lower the level the lower the grade... so it kinda pushes me to strive for a higher level... i think this is the purpose of mylot... to push or encourage members to respond and post more quality discussions... I have never reached the level 16 in any interest... so now, my ultimate goal is to get to that level...

I do like that alot...but it also leaves me with questions....like I heard that you get paid 0.1 cent to 0.5 cent per post...well if you make it further up the levels do you get paid more or what....so I guess it's a good thing all around because now i'm going to have to post that question and it gives others a chances to answer and possibly make it further up that level!
