As the Valentine's day is approaching, I am sure all couples out there are excited preparing to make the best out of it. I really appreciate their feelings, enormous love and refreshing ideas. I just love the glitters in their eyes and the blushes on their face that make it so special. So, I wish good luck to them. Have great fun.
And for those who are single, this is a special message. I feel Valentine's day is but the singles awareness day and we singles should not mop around and do chores and regret about what could have beens and what should have beens. Rather why not contemplate and love ourselves. never feel that you are single. Pamper yourself, love yourself, buy a gift to yourself, make an all singles gang, peek, peep, tease the couples, hit the bar...
Do nice things for yourself now that you have been putting off until…
So, just have fun and celebrate your singlehood.

very inspiring...
i know someday, i'll find that unconditional love from someone else, that unselfish happiness...
but for now, i have to value myself..
i always tend to give everything, that i dont leave something for myself..
i am used to spoil the person i love most.. thats why i believe they abuse that love..
sad thing, but thats what i reflect about your discussion..
i wont get tired giving my heart... so that the day i'll perish, i wont regret and wonder all the "ifs" because i already shared everything i have to share..
about the valentines day^_^
its a very nice day for loving, i got work, tons of events to attend... but honestly, i dont really care for the dates are all valentines to me, thats what love is..
its endless, whether its a special day or not.. when you give it, theres an eternal connection to that emotion.. it will last forever..

What a superb and wonderful idea! I wish all the singles here should warmly support your idea and must participate in your thought provking discussion to share their views. I endorese your idea that those who are single should also enjoy themselves on a day which could be termed as 'Single's awarenss day'.
I agree with you that they should not have regrets on being single. They can device their own ways to enjoy themselves and they should also have fun, like others.

Yes, I knew that you would like the idea. Why can't singles be happy? We should learn to be a happy no matter what the day tag says.
BTW, what are your plans? I know you are busy but still do something special for her.

That's a great concept! I've been divorced just over a year and I love being single, haven't begun dating and probably won't bother.
I'm going to treat myself to a chinese dinner then come home and snuggle with my dogs while watching a good movie. :-)

awwwwww...what a sweet message ; ) I am reading it the day after valentines but nonetheless I took your advice before i even knew it...hehe
I took the day off....shopped a little....had my nails done...asked my doll babies what they wanted for dinner...the vote was unanymous...Mexican night it was ; )
We all had fun cooking and sharing dinner together. Oh yeah I even bought myself some pink tulips, MY FAV. And deff can't forget we made strawberry shortcake for dessert. Speaking of did you know that stressed spelled backwards is desserts???? hehe
just a fun fact! This was my first year alone in my adult life on Vday and I must say it turned out to be an excellent one! Atleast their were no disappointment : )

I don't even acknowledge Valentine's Day because of that fact that it kind of singles out singles. I mean it makes everyone who doesn't have someone feel bummed and depressed i mean it's mean. So i say go out with the girls (or guys) don't celebrate couplehood but single hood.

I'm not really affected by that Valentines Day, I believe I'm happier when I'm on my own for now. I'm free to whatever I want to do, that's what I want and I'm glad!;)
No worries, nothing to think of or even care about but just myself. Well that's what I see whenever I'm in a relationship, so I'm really enjoying the things I have taken for granted when I was still in a relationship..

Dear Mimpi....Nice discussion, Mu, since you are my sis and understand me....I will tell you a secret....this valentine day never excites me.....I don't feel anyting speical about it........now you may say it is due to my age, but let me tell you, even 10 years ago ....my feelings were same.......why.......I don't know.....lol
Also let me tell you that many friends send me valentine greeting and I thank them. But there is no passion. why.....I don't know.

I can understand. The amount of commercialism goes on around it, no wonder most of us are so apathetic. It's over hyped and love has gotten plastic and material oriented. Now that is gross. We should celebrate love very moment, don't we?
However, things were different when we were in our teens. It was the sweet romance, most of which restricted to a fleeting glance or for the smarter ones a little holding of hands may be....Gone were those days.
I just hope young generation knows what they what and who they want and shape their life in a better way than we did. Going exuberant with love and romance doesn't make one a bad person. I just hope they have the right kinda vales as well.

Awh bless, what a sweet post! I do think that Valentine's Day is over hyped and is almost like rubbing it in the face of single people. It's too commercialised these days and I don't think one should be forced to celebrate their love on just one day. I know people in relationships who would love to be single but they stay together for the sake of the kids or mortgage or whatever but secretly wish they could be single and enjoy some freedom! Well you do your single thing and I sincerely hope you enjoy it. Some of the coupled people will surely be green with envy that you're able to do it and they aren't! xx

While I do not have anything personal against the couples (I think being in love is the most wonderful thing on earth) but I agree with you totally that it's being over hyped. I just hope 'love' doesn't get profaned with all that's going behind in the name of Valentine's day.

I have to say, there are times when I miss the single life. No having to compromise on the way the house is etc.
We don't celebrate Valentines Day here, but only because we share our love everyday and don't need one particular day to express it. Our 7 year anniversary is coming up, and that is a special day for us. both are in their longest successful relationship, and very happy.
