Anyone else have problems with their star?

I've been stuck at level 9, 87/100 for months now. I have not gone up, nor down, which means to me that something just doesn't seem right. So I'm just wondering if I'm the only one that is experiencing problems with their ranking? And, is there a way I can find out what is going on? Someone to message here? I've never really had any problems before so I've never had to contact anyone.

Mine was stuck for months on 89 and I thought the same thing, that there was a glitch somewhere. It never concerned me enough to contact mylot about it. This week however it did finally move up to 90. So now I am not so sure what the deal is. I wonder if we are forgetting to rate. Sometimes it takes reading a post about rating to rattle our cages again.

I was soooo excited that I finally got my star just yesterday. Whoohoo! It is a bit of a downer to see thought that I'm at a lowly four right now. I'm just wondering how long it might take for my number to start going up. I do try to contribute quality responses, so I hope that helps.
I have to ask--I couldn't figure out how you find your numbers like you posted, I mean the 87/100 part. Is that listed somewhere on our profile page? I didn't see anything like that on mine so I wasn't sure if I was looking in the wrong spot or if that doesn't show until you get more posts or have a higher star ranking.

Mamakat, if you put your mouse on your star and hover there, don't move it around or anything, a little thing should pop up that tells you your rating. :)

Thanks so much for the response. I tried doing the hover thing last night and it still didn't want to bring up any stats for some reason. I'm wondering if I'm still so 'new' and just got my star a couple posts ago, it hasn't had time to register any further rating.
Have a great day! :-)

Mine has been stuck at the same thing for many months but I think that it is because no one is rating me,, and that will make the rating star stagnate. Since we cannot see if someone rates us we can only guess if anyone is rating us. That is my opinion.

My star has been at level 9 as long as I have been on mylot.
:)
I don't find it to be problematic.
I am fine with being at level 9.

When your star rating stays the same it just means no one is rating you. That can be a good thing because if someone rates you with a negative rating your star would be going down. But when no one is rating you at all, it just stays the same. I will help you by giving you a plus rating on this discussion and see if it makes any difference. Maybe not, if no one else gives you a plus rating. I'm not sure how many ratings we need to get for it affect the number in our star, but we will give it a try. So heres your plus rating, my friend.

Mine is a ten, but it has been stuck on 96/100 for months and months. Usually it will go up and down every month or so, but it has beent his way for a while. I doubt mylot would care one bit about it, they'd just send a link to their FAQs about star ratings. : (

My star has been at nine for a really, really long time. But I don't put much concern in my rating - so it doesn't bother me that it's not changing.

I think that i have saw a similar question like this before and I think that I read somewhere on mylot.com that if someone rates you badly it will bring your star down or something like that....so someone could be rating your answers bad(which I hope not because I always give people good ratings no matter what because it is kind of mean to do any other thing I think)I think that you could probably go to the frequently ask questions section of mylot.com and see there they should have the answer that you are looking for!
