They say justice is blind, They have no clue of how true that statement really is..LOL... So mylotters do you feel that justice is blind? Do you think that sometime justice is also deaf? when I say that do you think that even thogh the jury is supposed to be partial and have no prejudgemnts and prejudices do you think that they do and they don't actually hear everything that is being said by both attorneys?

It is human nature to judge. This is why you will never see me on a jury. Everyone is biased to some extent. I don't agree that justice is deaf or blind. There are so many rules and exceptions and laws, that no one could possibly know everything that goes through a judges mind when they come down with a ruling.
I sat through a motions hearing I had filed in front of a judge and could have killed him when he agreed with the defendant.
Less than a month later I was back in front of the same judge because the defendant didn't listen to the ruling.
Then 2 months after that I was back in front of the same judge because the defendant realllllllly screwed up.
It may have taken me 3 times but finally the judge saw that I was right about the defendant.
so I wouldn't say that justice is deaf or blind. It is just a slow learner.

I guess I see your point that your judge was a slow learner but I also see it as when you went in the first time and things went well for the defendent that the judge turned a deaf ear to your plee and then whe you went the second time he turned a blind eye but by the last time he has no choice but to rectify his two prior mistakes. LOL!! Sorry but I just sometimes think that justice doesn't listen or see what some people are saying and those people end up suffering until the judge can't do anything but listen.
