I know I'm biased as I was brought up on Australian Rules Football, no not socer or rugby, but a unique game of football that's fast and spectacular.
I watched the Superbowl, and was very disappointed with all the stopages, and time outs. A fifteen minute quarter took about forty minutes to complete, but only had about five minutes of action.
The catch that virtually one the game was good, but you would see many better catches in one game of Aussie Rules.
The games have some similarities, agressive body contact, fast ball movement, and solid tackling, but we kick or handpass the ball instead of throwing it.
If you enjoyed the superbowl, you would love Aussie Rules, and if you live in the Asia-Pacific region you have the chance to view games on Australia Network starting March 20. It's worth a look.

I used to like football until I saw Aussie Rules football. Now that's a game where men are men and not all padding. I find that American football is boring with all the timeouts and injuries. I like Aussie rules where if the guy isn't bleeding and gushing blood on the field the game continues. I just wish we could see more Aussie rules in Canada.

Wow! that's great. I honestly didn't expect to get a reply to this thread, let alone one agreeing with me.
Where did you see Aussie Rules? Can you remember which teams you saw?
It's a religion in Australia, and I'm glad we get a decent coverage here in Thailand.
