Everyday i see many young men and women wasting away their time and life and i wonder why this is happening until i nread a book on goals setting and having a vision and objective for life.I decided to do re-appraisal of my life and have new goals and objectives for life. Its working and am glad it is.My question is do you have goals for your life or you are just existing?if you do i hope things are working and if not please try to start now.

I have goals... many of them. Some of them are quite small goals, which lead onto a larger milestone. In other words, I take life a step at a time. I did mention in my response to one of your other discussions, that to my mind, life is a series of lessons, from which you learn, and go on to the next. I regard my smaller goals as lessons. I am of pagan belief, and therefore, my lessons last perhaps a year and a day, or less, if I think I've passed the test and moved on a mile. The goals are objects which we need to reach, and pass in bettering ourselves and helping others along the way.
I still study, and learn daily, even if it's only a study of Nature, other people and their ways, or the Elements, because these three things are the core of our lives. What we do with them is whether we succeed or not, in life. I'm happy with the way I've reached goals, and learned about the different aspects of life, but my main goal is at the end of all this, when I get to walk in my "Fields of Gold". I'm over halfway there, and content with how things are going. Contact and caring for People, Nature and the Elements are my main route, and teaching what I know to those who ask, is paramount.
Brightest Blessings.

there is no small goals in life if i must tell you so whatever you have chosen to achieve is big as far as i am concerned and i believe that you can achieve them as long as you are willing to put yourself to work on them

Hi. I am so glad eveything is working for you. I have goals in my life also and I work my tail end off trying to reach them every day. I cannot stand it when someone says they need or want but they sit on their butt and do nothing about it. It drives me crazy and wears me out watching them do nothing for themselves, even though I offer to show them how it can be done.

Your welcome. I agree with you. I have wasted so much time on people trying to help them out while they sit and do nothing. Then they come to me needing help again and I help them and they do the same thing again. I don't have time for it either.

yes thanks so much but you see some people really want things to work but they need others to help them see how to do it but one thing i have learnt to do is not waste time with some people who never seem to want to learn i avoid them because they are time wasters

I have goals for my life, but I'm not sure they're things you would see and recognize as goals. They have nothing to do with making money or having any kind of outward success, for one thing.
Most of my goals, in fact, are spiritual in some way or other. I have goals in terms of things I want to learn and do, or ways I want to be able to help others. They aren't the type of goals you would see in my everyday life unless you knew me very well, or saw me at my volunteer work.

Having goals and objectives is fine, and many people have them. Unfortunately, keeping going along the track to achieving them can be difficult without encouragement and support. I am lucky in that I have fantastic support at home. I gave up work for a few months last November. My plan in part is to co-author a book, which I am doing. This means long hours at the computer with only MyLot for company. Each night I take stock of what I have achieved that day - it doesn't have to be much. I got the bins out on time today, sounds silly, but the buzz from managing this has really perked me up. Good luck with your own stuff.

thats a great answer there am happy you are gradually achieving your plans and i tell you that if you keep at it it will surely make you.As for need ing people around to support you i agree with you totally but i think sometimes you need more of yourself especially when you are about to start something that ius radica;lly different to what people around you are used to.Discipline and determination will help more in this area.thjanks.and good luck in your endeavour.let me know when your book is ready
