I read this when you posted it, and now i've jsut read that you have a few discussions with no answers, so i thought i'd go through and help you out some! lol. I dont have kids old enough to be in brownies, but i was in it for a few nights. lol i didn't like it really.. the other girls were mean and snotty to me! Oh well i was more of a tom boy when i was a little girl anywyas, i was more content catching frogs and bugs. I dunno if they have brownies in the states do they ?

My girls arent old enough yet but was curious about it. I was in it when I was a kid but remember hating it because while they had us cooking at someones house my brothers' boyscout troup was camping and making rockets. Is it still like that? I guess with 2 girls they wouldn't have the problem with envy.

Well I have to tell you you started in the wrong group. Brownies is really to you to be doing the fun stuff although its not fair that they were doing it with the boys and not the girls but my daughter loves it. They do crafts and work on abdges and we work on more badges at home. She has 2 penpals from england and they camped last year in sparks. But now guides is the best they do more camping and cooler things with the girls. But brownies can be fun too i believe it all depends on the leader as well.

Well I only had boys, and we lived on a Farm in the country.Scouts and Brownies are for citykids. MY boys all had jobs to do on the farm. AS soon as they could lift a bale of hay they were feeding the cows or bedding the calves. We always had fun doing the barn chores. "If it isn't fun don't do it" was our motto and it never let us down!
