I have been contemplating selling some jewelry I have designed on ebay. I cant seem to figure out how I would get paid. I am new at this and need help. I understand about paypal and such. What does one do if they have no credit cards? If I sell something on line how can I get the cash? I am one of the few that dont want to HAVE to shop online. I would like to know that I could have cash if I want it. Somebody help me I am anxious to move on to the next step of selling my jewelry. In all honesty, I have no clue how to receive cash payment if I choose . Please enlighten me? I am just beginning to explore the internet shopping experience. I dont have credit cards by choice. Can I get cash if I sell something?

I've been selling on ebay for years and use paypal. I think but am not sure that they will only send you a check if it's over a certain amount. Since I've never done it and I have their debit card you would have to find that information out from them. Another way you could get your payment is by a money order. They are easy to cash and easy to track if there is a problem. Whatever you do good luck on ebay. Like someone before me said cash is not a good way to go and most people won't do it.

I am new at this whole online world. I am getting used to it. I dont care so much about cash. I was wondering how you get the money to my hand. Do I have to spend All the earnings I receive online? I like having access if I choose. Is there a way I can set up an account without credit cards? Would it work if I used one of those credit cards where you put the amount of cash you want on it? I was thinking of using one of those type of visa. That way I cant get into trouble.lol

you could use your bank card. go open a checking account. Most of them are free. You have to have a certain amount to put into the account, of course, but it's really easy. that's what I did.

Thanks for the offer. I will be taking you up on that. The problem is I dont use credit cards, so I dont have them. How can I begin selling on ebay without one. I put the item on and then it said I need credit card info. Sorry I gave them up a long time ago to be safe. lol

You can set up a paypal account and have it to where you request checks mailed to you. Or, when you set up your ebay you can have people mail you the checks, personally.
Honestly, that route doesn't work as well. I use ebay frequently, and I will not buy from someone that doesn't accept PayPal. When I sell something, I prefer Paypal, but will accept checks...because I know I'm not going to do anything, but I understand people for not trusting me, because I don't trust them, either. lol
As far as straight out cash, no. No one will send cash in the mail to you. well, not anyone who's smart. lol. I would go w/ a check. It takes longer to receive the money, but you just take it to the bank and cash it. maybe you could open up a checking account. most of them are free. then you can have a direct deposit, which is alot faster.
Happy Selling!

Yeah, just have them send you a check. I've had to do that when I first joined paypal, because my husband registered our bank account in his account, and I wasn't allowed to register it under my account.it's a security thing. there isn't a minimum amount that you have to have, but most people don't request checks unless it is over a certain amount. It would be silly to request a check for $3. lol. Plus, what I always keep at least $5 in my paypal account and use it to set up another auction. When you request a check, you can choose how much you want, to the penny. Just make a personal goal on how much you want to make before cashing in.
Jewelry may do well. I sell some jewelry, and it does good. Just be as descriptive as possible and let them know that this is handmade. take good pictures. there are alot of people that go for the handmade stuff. Good luck. :)

Hello! You need to set up your paypal accout and have it verifed by providing your bank information. That way when a customer remits payment, you can transfer it to your bank whenever you choose. You can also accept personal checks. Sometimes it takes a bit longer as you can't ship until the check clears, but I've found that a lot of people don't mind waiting. Good luck to you!
