does salt water help ease arthritis pain?

some one suggested i bathe in salt water to help ease the pain in my knees while i wait for knee replacement surgery. does it help?

Cher the answer is yes and no. No saltwater doesn't easy pain but it does help remove extra fluid so by taking swelling down it may relieve some of the pain... xoxoxoxoxo

thanks for that...my problem is that it is bone on bone, so i dont know if it will help me or not.

don't take a bath in regular salt i did that once after my first child cause i had to have an episiotomy (whre they cut you) and it stung like a bugger. i was supposed to use epsonn salt and i used regular salt andi accidently put too much in oh boy did i pay for it
