Hi Everybody!

I'm getting a chance to check in today because 1. It's snowing again and schools are closing and 2. The furnace won't start so it's freezing in here and all I really can do is sit under a blanket with a space heater blowing on me. FIL is supposed to be home any minute now to try to fix the furnace...but that's what I was told an hour ago too...*rolls eyes*. So it's 60 degrees in the house and we all decided to just stay in our pajamas! It could be worse, yesterday we had no water until after 2pm because the pipes froze and that was the soonest anyone could come over to thaw them out. So I get to come back on here for a little while! I've missed everyone, there just wasn't time to come on. Most days I would have enough time to check through my mail...mostly my classified e-mails looking for rentals, then I'd head over to ebay to if anything of mine had sold (one thing!), and then check on my business stuff to see if that was generating any income yet...it's not but I'm close, I just need to find more time to promote it. By the time I got through that stuff I was pretty much out of computer time. There's not really much to report, it's been the same old stuff for the past few weeks...s/o sleeping all the time and not helping out, FIL being completely anal about everything, MIL trying to be too in charge of everything. Well he's here now trying to get the furnace to light...and he just walked out again...I have no idea...it's not running. Now he's checking the fuel tanks...great we need something major to go wrong during a bitter cold snap and right before a storm blows in....I'll keep you all updated. Anyway, just wanted to let you know that I'm still around.I've missed a lot here lately so feel free to let me know what's new with you or anything else you want to share from the past two weeks or so!

I hope you get your furnance running, We are getting a snow storm here in Ohio today My husband filled the kerosene heater for me before he left. Just incase we lose electricity tonight. The heater will keep the house pretty warm for about 12 hours on one tank. Sorry about s/o not helping out. Maybe he needs a kick in the butt.

It finally got fixed about a half hour ago so it's slowly warming up! Woohoo I just checked and it's 66 degrees now! I had 2 heaters out in the main part but even with them both cranked up to 80 we were only maintaining 60-61 degrees out here....and then step son came home and took one to his bedroom without asking and grabbed the other one the minute the furnace kicked on so his room is easily in the 70's by now, annoying teenagers lol! I think we're getting the same storm you're getting. I sure hope we don't lose power. Then we'll be without any kind of heat...they don't like kerosene heaters, don't ask my why lol!

See, it happens every time. Right when I think I have it bad, someone else has it worse. I just posted a discussion yesterday about how I was freezing because I was too cheap to turn on the heat. LOL

Aww well I'm glad I could make you feel better about your situation...I think lol! I think I would be royally p-d off if 'they' were that stingy about heat...I don't mean that against you, it's just a whole lot colder here!

Oh my gosh! Well, good luck on the furnace! And have fun snuggling! LOL. It would be awful to be without the heat, but even worse to be without the potty!

Yeah, no water is no fun! And it's not like we could get away with 'going' outside either...well we coud have but it was in the single digits so that would have brought a whole new meaning to freezing our butts off!

Sorry to hear about the weather. We had it bad here and lost power for a few days and the house got real cold. We all stayed in the smallest room in the house and got all the blankets and warm stuff we could get just to stay warm. It was really tough. At least help is on the way! Hopefully! LOL And at least you cam get on here. I had serious net withdrawal when I couldn't use it. Stay Warm my friend! Vicki

Oh my! I can't even imagine it getting that bad! No way would I deal well with being in a small room with everyone here for several days! It's fixed now so we're getting it nice and toasty here. I know about that net withdrawel thing!

I find it really strange to read about how cold everyone is and how the bad the weather is where you are, I live in England and I am not kidding the last two days have beein amazing! I have just come back from my friends where we were sat in her back garden and it was that warm you could have been fooled into thinking it was May rather than February. Of course please dont think I am rubbing it in, I think its just strange how the weather is different all over the place for the time of year. But I actually wish it was cold and that here because then the seasons would be right instead of as warm as it is, because it could mean that we are in for a washout summer.

Hey foxy, I'm glad to see you back, even if it is only for a little bit. I've missed seeing you around on here. I hope your furnace gets fixed soon! I don't envy your in-law situation. I've been there and done that. Come back when you can and good luck with your business. Take care and try not to freeze! :)

Hi foxyfire, I have missed you, glad to see you again..:) I understand about the heat thing. We have baseboard in the living room but it is turned off and my husband says we can't afford to run it. So we do kerosene heater and if we can't afford the kerosene, then we have this little plug in which barely warms the house..I am just glad we haven't gotten into the single digits for too long, I wouldn't be able to stand it.. You can see what all I have been up to in my discussions. I hope your business takes off, I really thought that I would like to do soemthing similar..

Wow it sounds like your day is not going so well...well it is bad weather here too...alot of rain is suppose to come in over the next few days...but that doesn't compare to you though...it sounds like your day is pretty much done for lol I hope that you get your heat turned back on soon because I know how that feels too..we had a horrible ice storm a few year ago and was without power for almost a whole week...Thank goodness that the sun is coming out where I live and hopefully it will come out for you sometime soon...we only get snow maybe once every two or three years here...well I hope that the rest of your day gets better and that you have a good and safe day today!
