I took hamburger meat out of the freezer for supper tonight and I was just thinking what can I make with it. I looked in the cupboard to see what ingedients I have and decided I am going tomake a pot of chili for supper. I have the tomatoes and tomato paste and kidney beans and pork and beans and I have chili powder. So that is what I am going to make tonight for supper. I also am going to make some garlic bread. I make mine with rye bread and garlic butter and broil it in the oven, I don one side first and then turn them over and put more garlic butter on and do the other side. I will also make a ceasar salad since I have the ingredients to do that also. So what are your plans for supper tonight? What are you cooking or are you cooking or going out?

I took hamburger meat out and since I have the stuff here for it I'm making spaghetti. But hey, can I come to your house and eat chili? I haven't had a good pot of chili in a long time.

I was thinking about making spaghetti too, but since we haven't had chili for a while I thought I'd make that instead.

I am probably going to end up making hamburger casserole tonight for dinner. It is made with potatoes, onions, carrots, ground beef, cream of mushroom soup, salt, and pepper. It is yummy. One of my favorite dinners growing up.

Do you fry it all and then put it into the oven? Plese tell me exactly how you make it because I am always looking for new ways to cook hamburger meat.

It is extremely simple. Wash and peel a few potatoes and carrots. Slice them both thin. Peel and slice an onion. Layer the potatoes, carrots, and onions. Take some RAW ground beef and break it up and put it on top. Not a whole lot, but kinda sprinkle it on. Repeat layers. On top of the second layer spread a can of cream of mushroom soup. I like to stir it up first to get it a little easier to spread. Sprinkle some pepper on top. Cover and bake at 350 for about 45 minutes. Uncover and cook another 15-20 minutes or until vegetable in center can be pierced with at fork easily.

Chili sounds so good, but I had that last week. My husband made a large pot of it and we ate it for two days. Tonight I am going to make meat loaf, With mashed potatoes and corn that is my husbands favorite.

Chili, YUM! I do that too. I make a big pot and eat it until it is gone. It is a nice cheap meal to make and it goes a long way. Now I want chili.

All three of my boys (my husband and two sons) requested chicken and dumplings for dinner. I make it from scratch using a recipe that I learned from my Grandmother growing up in Mississippi. Every time I make it, I think of her.

The pantry was bare and we didn't have time to go grocery shopping yet, so we went out to IHOP's for dinner. I had a T-bone steak, with mashed potatoes, carrots, and chicken noodle soup. My fiance had eggs, hashed brownds, and steak tips, while our daughter had some of the chicken noodle soup and a fruit salad. Tomorrow night before we go out grocery shopping, we are going to stop at a vietnamese restaurant and have a rice noodle soup, with beef balls, and cuts of rare steaks. This soup is called "pho" in vietnamese. The broth is very clear and subtle mixed with scallions and other herbs. It's very delicious and it warms you on a cold night. I recommend you all to try some, the next time you dine at a vietnamese restaurant. Happy eating!

Sorry for the double post there. Firefox froze up and I had to reopen the window and the stuff I typed was still in the response box, so I didn't think it had gone through.
