so i got this stability ball for my birthday so I have been exercising a few days now. Mostly doing my abs cause I have this beer gut. My abs hurt so bad. When I cough or anything it hurts so bad. I think I overdid it so I am gonna take a few days off and let my muscles rest!

That pain means that you really worked those muscles, and that's a good thing. It is a good idea to give them a rest for a couple of days, though. Too much all at once can be bad. Maybe do it every other day for a couple of weeks, then every day if it's not hurting too bad. I have been working my abs lately, too, and I love that pain. It lets me know that my hard work is paying off. I don't use a ball, I put a pillow under my hips and do leg lifts and stuff. It works well. I'd like to have an exercise ball, but I have no room in my home- it's very small, and we're cramped as it is.

Well if your ab muscles hurt that means that your exercise is working. I have a friend that is really into exerciseing, and she says that you are only supposed to work any specific muscles group once every few days to avoid injureing the muscle. She its probably a good idea that you take a day or two off. When you go back at it you should only do it every so many days to give your muscles time to recover after each workout.

I got one of those too! I LOVE it. It has been the best workout I have tried thus far!! I have had mine for a couple of months now and I have lost a solid 10 pounds (and that's not even doing it every day). I am going to shoot for at least 20 mins every day.
