Did Pooh sell out?

When I was younger (about 20 years ago) I was a big fan of Winnie-the-Pooh. It was kind of neat that not many other people were in to him back then. Any products with him on it were difficult to find so that made the merchandise kind of special. Over the past 10 years there has been an explosion of Pooh merchandise. This has kind of put me off of him. I didn't even do the kid's nursery in it. Do you have any disney characters that have become so popular that you don't like them so much anymore?

Sesame Street had been around for ever and a day. Just like Pooh, i think Elmo is a sell out. It used to be all about big bird but now its elmo elmo elmo. I have not bought my son any Elmo but other people have and some of his toys are so annoying! He has this singing elmo in a chef's costume with a talking/singing pizza. It drives me crazy. He also he a Elmo hot tomato that vibrates. So Pooh is not the only sell out.

My daughter loves elmo too! The worst elmo i've seen is the one where he wears the leather jacket and plays the guitar. Oh my god is that one annoying!

I used to adore the Disney princesses, like Ariel, Belle, and Jasmine. Now, they're everywhere, and I'm starting to get sick of them. I can remember back in the day, when I was almost considered a dork because I loved Belle so much. When I was a kid, it wasn't very easy to find stuff with my favorite princesses on it. Heck, a lot of Disney characters are getting over-sold at this point. It's getting very annoying.
