I Wish myLot

I sure wish myLot had an edit button that could be clicked after clicking on "start discussion" at the bottom of the discussion. So many times I've answered a discussion and wish there was a way to edit what I've said. There have also been times when I cliked the "start discussion," had an interruption, thought about the discussion content and wish there was a way to add more to the initial response. Do you think this is something we should confront myLot about and see if there is a way to add an edit button? I look forward to any and all responses.

This is an excellent idea but they are not going to do anything about it, I think that question was asked to "Crash" already. If there is an issue like this (an edit button) they should allow us to vote on it and if there is enough of us requesting it then I think it should only be fair to give it to us. We are the one's writing all these discussions and if it is a helpful tool for us to have an edit button then they should do it for us.

. . . and sometimes I'm so tired I put periods and commas in wrong places and hit the reply button too soon. LOL. I would love to have an edit button. But I think MyLot will say that we should hit the preview button first. It wouldn't hurt to ask them for an edit thing-a-me-doodie, though we might not get a reply any time soon. I'm with you.

I think thats a great idea and yes it should be suggested to mylot. That has happened to me alot. And also deleating something in our discussion would be great too. Ive often wrote something then thought about it and said oh I shouldnt have said that!LOL

I halfway regret something I said this morning in a discussion about religion. Still scratching my head or whatever on that one...lol I like the idea too about being able to edit or delete a response after it's sent. We females have the right to change our minds..lol Thanks for responding.

I wish they did also. If you press submit and see an error quickly and press post discussion again real quick, it will give you an edit button if you are fast enough and see the mistake in time. I have wished we could go back and add things to our discussions also that was left out and it is too late and no eway to add it back in there. did you ask this question to crash?

No but I should have asked Crash. His/her answers were pretty straight forward and there wasn't any hesitation when he responded. Thanks for the information above. Sometimes when I upload a photo, while it's uploading, I wanted to add something to the original discussion. I've tried this and it didn't put my additional comments in the discussion area. Thanks for responding.

Your welcome. I wish crash would have stayed around longer. Alot of us have alot more questions to ask that was not answered or asked by other members.
I'm not sure why they do not want us to edit our posts. It is almost like we are very limited on what we can and cannot do here sometimes.

Would love the option to edit! Most other sites have such a thing (and a 'delete' option too).

hello carolbee, i think that mylot should add this button, because a lot of people write bad english as i and then you sumit the discussion you see that some expresion is wrong and you cant edit this.
Also i understand why mylot not put this, i think that mylot work by get good content the people that participate in mylot know that they need make good the discussion before sumit because then not can edit this. I think that some people with this button write more quicly and with more wrongs because they know that can change this.
BUt i go on think that mylot should add this button. I write very bad and other people can send me the errors but i not changed this in discussion.

Maybe we could ask Crash if there are any plans for that in the future. I'd like to be able to edit, too.

Oh I so agree especially for when you are posting. I cut off half of a poem because of no edit button. Go figure.

I totally agree with you, all the time re-read what i have put and realised that it doesnt make sence, or i need to add somethin, and then you cant. I think they should add this feature =]
