ID is something different than name. Some people do not like to show there name, so they adopt a user name or id of there presence. Giving id on line is considered a save practice to become online. It is a cyber culture and I want to do every thing in Rom as the roman do. This is reason that I do not like to use my name on line.

Isn't Shaukat your name? It seems to be part of your ID here at mylot. Besides, I'm also curious what the "sheen" in front of your user ID mean. =)

I use parts of my names or my nickname but never use my full first name or my last name. Just a safety thing i was taught when i was younger...and i stick to using it. The people who know me well enough online do know my name but..until people know me i prefer to be a bit harder to locate. yes i know theres ways to track where you are by ip addy but...at least this way someone scary cant just look up my name and find my number and address.

I use my name as my ID all the time. It's so that it's easier for me to sign up for new sites without needing to remember funny user IDs. Besides, it also shows that I'm not afraid to tell or show others my real name, which means that I'm being REAL! =P

I can't use my name, because mylot can't understand Chinese, haha...
I always used my net name, that I used on internet no matter Chinese net or English net.
