For those of you who know me you know I am covering the Guantanamo Bay story. I can say after the disappointment I saw in the Court room for these mens lives, I applaud Cuba for doing what the rest of the world should be doing.

I agree entirely. Cuba is hardly the first country to have called for the closure of this hell hole though. Virtually all European countries have condemned it, as have many Asian ones; and I think that there are quite a few folk on Capitol Hill that are uneasy about its continuance. The whole thing was a mess up from the start. The fact that these people are still there, guilty or otherwise, just shows an intolerance based on the same fear and hatred that the detained men are supposed to have felt about western society.

I so agree. If you go to my blog that is listed on my profile you will find I am very passionate about this. I suppose my end is a bit different. I have 3 friends who are there and they are not guilty. I know them well.
I was outraged at bush saying that waterboarding was not torture after the Senate said it was.
I would like to add you as a friend. I have seen some of your responses on other areas and they are impressive.
