No, my birthday is not February 29th, it is actually March 1st, the day after. But when I was looking at my calendar yesterday and noticed the leap year, I thought about people who WERE born on a leap year. Were you one of those people? If you aren't, which day would you rather celebrate your birthday on, February 28th or March 1st? Personally, I would rather celebrate on the day after, only because if I did it early I would feel like I hadn't really turned a year older. Silly, I know. One day difference doesn't matter, but then again I never claimed to be normal. : )
So do you know any people born on a February 29th? Do you think it is special, or an inconvience? I guess they could rotate which day to celebrate their birthday on. One year it would be the 28th, the next it could be the first.

I had a friend who was a twin. Her brother was born 11:56pm on the 28th of Feb and she was born 12:19 on the 29th of Feb (yep, a leap year!). The joke was that he was aging faster than she!

No, my birthday isn't anywhere around February...but my husband's is....and he was a couple of days before the borderline..lol. Anyways, the year he was born wasn't a leap year.
I had a friend who was born on the 29th of February of a leap year. I'm not sure when he would have preferred to celebrate..because we usually had 2-3 day of celebration for him...lol...starting on the 28th. Though he used to calculate his age counting each non-leap year too...we always teased him by counting only the years which were leap years. So, he was around 5-6 years old when he was in college...lol

I know one guy who was born on February 29th, but we do not talk any more. I do not remember any of the details that I asked him about it. It has always interested me though. I would not want to be born on that day. It would be sad if my birthday came around only every four years. I guess it would be cause for a big celebration though.

I worked with a lady who's birthday was leap day. When I still knew where she was I'd call her up and wish her a special birthday wish.
I think she picked the weekend after for her birthday so she and most the people she knew, had money to celebrate since we got paid on the first of the month.

I wouldn't care if my birthday was on Feburary 29th. I would think it really unique! My children were all born on holidays and I think it is cool. The only thing is that we sometimes have to celebrate it on a different day because of conflicting events. But I think it is normal to do that around here and stuff. Like for kids birthday parties are usually on the weekend before or after a child's real birthdate. For me I would do it on the closest day that is most convenient. And when I get really old I can just say that I am 10 instead of 40. HEHE

I have a friend who's birthday falls on Feb. 28th, or at least that's when he celebrates it. I'll have to ask him if that's the right day. I remember him joking once, saying that he only had a birthday once every four years, so maybe it's really on the 29th. He did tell me that a male Feb. Pices is much different than a male March Pices, both in body type and personality. If that theory is true, I guess one day could make a big difference. I don't have much faith in astrology, but I do find it amusing.

If I was born on 28th February, I would feel kinda funny that I will not see a birthday in the years which are not leap years. For convenience I will probably celebrate it on either 27th February, or 1st March. When I was in college, I used to have a female friend who was born on 28th February, and I have known no others who are born on this date. I used to joke with my classmates that this girl was the youngest in our cless, because she was less than 5 years old since her birthday only came once in four years. Wonder why it came into being that there is an extra day in February only once in every four years?
