ancient weapons

Did anyone see the show yesterday about ancient ballistic weapons? I find it very interesting to think about the 'ancients' coming up with ideas that we use today. Can you imagine being on the receiving end of a rocket propelled arrow? or a whole volley of them? How different would tactics be if we compare past to present?
