I don't follow epl much but even I am astonished at the decline in liverpool, what is happening? Players are unhappy, performances are terrible and Rafa seems to have no solution. Is it time for a change of manager?

He is a good manager but Liverpool have money to spend so maybe some other areas should be looked at.

Liverpool being crap is not something that has just happened since Rafa has been there. In the league you have useless for many years but in Europe you have been the best of the English teams winning in 2005 against all odds and were runners up in 2007 which is all down to Rafa. The problem with Rafa is he gets the best from his team in Europe comps as opposed to the prem lg. European football suits Rafa better than the prm lg. Also he needs to pick hos best 11 week in week out and dont rest them. Take Torres for example, IMO he is currently the best striker in the world and cost a massive £26 million to buy, so if you spend that type of money on such a young/fit/gifted player he gets to play all the time unless injured and maybe rest him against the lesser teams every now and again.

Then again maybe it is the players that need to take the blame. All a manager can do is chose his team and advise them how to play. The rest is up to the players and maybe Europe is more lucrative/interesting to them so they play better.

i think it would be the wrong time to replace Rafa at the moment. I think he sometimes gets his tactics wrong, but I truely believe that he believes that every Liverpool team he puts out should be capable of winning every match.
Therefore more than a little of the blame for poor results must lie at the feet of the players. There doesn't appear to be the passion or desire to pull on the Liverpool jersey, other than from local players like Carragher and Gerrard

It does look like he has lost the dressing room at the moment, maybe losing to Barnsley will shake the players up a bit.

we will never win the premiership with rafa in charge, we had an amazing player in keane and he wouldnt play him.
But people like lucas etc etc get a game wtf lol,
Rafa is great for europe but his rotation and tactics during a long premiership season is madness. Also his stupid rant about fergie this year was just plain stupid.
This discussion was started a year ago, and a year on its about time for a change.
