Often times if you donate to a cause or a company is trying to solicit your contributions they will send you return address labels in the mail with your name and address preprinted on them. Do you save and use these or do you toss them as soon as you get them?

I don't mind having them, I just think if they are going to spend all that money on making them, why do we need to donate?

I use them, I fold them into the front of my address book and whenever I am sending a letter or a parcel I will stick onto the back so that if not delivered (which is quite frequent in UK, postal service is much to be desired) it will at least, or should, arrive back to me. No one else can use them. I do donate to charity but ones I choose to. Ellie :D

About the only charities I donate to are the ones that my children are soliciting from their schools.

I use the pretty ones and toss the others out. I really don't like the idea that they spend so much money on trying to solicit donations. Seems to me it would be more cost effective to send a brief letter to people who have exhibited some interest in your cause asking for donations.
There is one charity we support that sends us "gifts" two or three times a year. I wish they'd keep their gifts and use the money for the work of the organization.

I'm not sure if thats a good thing or a bad thing. LOL. At least you don't have people asking you for money everytime you open your mail.

I will usually save them, then use them if I can still find them when I go to send something out. I don't use the actual mail very often, though. And I do not make donations in this way, so they usually stop sending them eventually.

I use them all the time! I hardly ever actually give them a donation because when you do, they start sending you more stuff hoping you'll give a bigger donation. I learned that the hard way! lol!
But honestly, why should you throw them away? To me, that's just wasteful. You might as well use them.

I send very little mail through snail mail now that postage is so darned high! It is getting to where it is cheaper to call those long distance friends! As for the address labels, I save a few of them, but most I toss. It really irks me to see the charities print those labels. The cost of printing the labels and to mail the stuff to me could be applied to the actual chairity!

I keep them. I always use address labels because I get sick of writing down my return address when I send out bills and letters, so I keep the free address labels to send out on my bills. I buy nicer address labels that I send out on personal letters and cards to family and stuff.
