Pros:
some really really funny parts
Cons:
some really really stupid stuff
"Nacho Libre" is the story of Ignacio, a monk who aspires to become a professional wrestler. Yet, sadly it is not to be, for it is an act again the priesthood. But since the children from his orphanage are suffering, because of no money for the food rations, he risks it all, by attempting to gain money wrestling undercover, going by the stage name of "Nacho".
"Nachoooooooooooooooooooo!"
Sadly, as a whole, "Nacho Libre" is not funny. It only contains portions of humor material. It utilizes long stretched out sequences.. just to gain a single punch line. It is the equivalent of an overblown sitcom.. one that last an hour and a half. A comedic snack.. instead of a meal. The humor it delivers, will mostly be funny to Mexicans (or Latinos) but only because it makes profuse fun of their culture.
Now I did find Jack Black to be funny, but not enough to merit a second viewing. So watch.. but don't spend dollars on it..
This movie was made by the same people as "Napoleon Dynamite". Except this time around they failed to create a memorable movie.
Did you like this movie or did you find it dissapointing?

It wasn't as funny as I'd hoped it would be and thought it would be after seeing the commercials for it. Luckily, I received FREE passes to see a sneak preview of it in the theatre. It's been a long time since so I really don't remember it that well...wasn't too memorable :) There were some really funny parts but not enough of them.
