That you could give more than one Best Response!?
I went to my unresolved discussions this morning to see what was there and discovered once again that I have twelve!!!!
I always start with the one furthest down on the list and I was in there reading all ten responses and truly I can not pick a BR I have such great friends here and it is soooooo hard to choose!
So, how do you choose your Best Responses?
Do you have a difficult time doing so?
I know that sometimes it is very easy for me but other discussions are difficult! It takes me quite a bit of time to do my BR's
So, give me your views on this and do you have any tips for when it is hard to choose!?

There have been several times that i would have loved to give more than one best response. sometimes it's hard for me to choose on this because there are so many great responses. i hate having to just pick one. that's the way it works though, so i guess i just have to keep reading them over and over until i figure out which one to choose from. thanks for posting and God bless

I try to do the same Sissygrl or pick the one that really stands out and really touched me or hit what I was talking about in the first place but it is not always that easy! I also like to spread it out and not always award the same person with all of the BRs.
Thanks so much for your response here and I am sure the bear is flattered by all of your Best Responses!!!

I have no tips! but I do have the same difficulty - my unresolved discussions span over 10 pages. I am trying to mark several each day now... but doggone it is difficult to choose and I do not want to have others feel snubbed when I do not choose theirs. *sigh*

Oh yes Modestah I feel your pain! LOL
I just want to do the people justice and give credit where credit is due...sometimes that is difficult but I do my best :)
It is just so difficult and time consuming with the little bit of time that I have to spend on here each day!!
Thanks so much for your response here and good luck with all of your BRs ;)

No tips i am afraid sweey as I have the same problems - that is why I always leave my unresolved discuaaions for ages and then spend hours doing them! I have seen me agonising over brs but at the end of the day there is usually one that just touches you that much more than others - if you look long enough it is there! Good luck sweety! xxx

I sometimes just dispense with giving out best responses precisely cause I sometimes have a hard time trying to decide who to give a br to...Sometimes I might two or three fantastic responses...anyway I at least rate each response and usually a positive..the only time I rate anyone negative is if I get a one word response like hmmmm or good..uh, the subject of one of my discussions....LOL

Hello Pye!
I too rate everyone a positive unless they are being offensive or the response does not make sense...If it doesn't make sense then I just leave out rating them
As for BRs I leave it for a couple of weeks or more and then labor over it unless the BR is obvious in which case I am happy but most times I award those and then someone re opens the topic and I wish I had waited! LOL
I just can't seem to win sometimes :)
Thanks so much for your response here my friend!

I really do wish sometimes that I could give two best answers or more...because sometimes I ask a question and I get a few answers that are very good and could both be considered best answers...but with the way that things are now on mylot you can only give one person a best answer...even though sometimes there are more than one answer that could be considered the best answers..but maybe one day mylot will be able to let you give multiple best answers!

Good Idea Mooch only I don't do many controversial discussions as you do! :)
Hi Gabs,
I'm glad that you are in agreement with me! ;)
I truly would not be upset if My Lot removed the Best Responses....I really don't see the point in them! :)

hello heavens..
i always wish that feature will be heard by mylot..
i agree choosing best response will really take me time.. its hard when most members who responded are all valuable and to be considered all best.
we should try suggesting it to mylot..
maybe it will be heard.
but my tip is really simple,
if all are good responses, i usually go with the most reasonable to my heart.. a response that made me smile, or a response that completely understood my point unarguably best all..
thats why i always leave the discussion till all stop discussing or responding.. a week maybe, then on its time to choose which is which.
take care heavens^_^

This sounds reasonable vehailairu and is much like what I do only a lot of my discussions are three or four weeks old at this point as I am behind:(
I am on here so little that I often get behind in these things!
Ah well I guess I will just have to take the time to do these...
I do wish My Lot would remove the best responses...I don't really understand the point of them!
Thanks so much for your valued response here :)

Hi heavenschild,
Yes, I've wished many times that I could choose more than one BR. I find mine pile up too, without my realizing it, and then it's very time consuming to read through everything, in order to choose just one. I don't like to give BR too soon after my discussion is started, so that I can leave things open for as many to participate as possible. Take care.

I'm with you. I'm sure mine must be piling up again too. There are a lot of really good responses, and suggestions, in this discussion of your's. Great topic!:)

Hi Mom!
I tend to leave mine for a bit also...Mine are about three or four weeks old right now that I must get to wrapping up!!
I am on here so little and I hate taking my precious little time to do BR's when I could be responding etc...
Ah Well until My Lot removes the BRs I guess I will have to take the time to do them! :)

If I absolutely can't pick, I don't..
In fact I have some discussions on certain foods and what is everyones favorite. I can't pick a BR on a discussion like that. When it comes to food, there is no BR, just different varieties and tastes, so I just don't pick one..

So you actually leave discussions unresolved!?
I don't like doing that but I have a couple right now that may remain that way for a while as I just can't choose!!
Thanks so much for your response :)

True and I do hope that unresolved discussions don't affect our earnings etc...
However, if not then what is the purpose of it then?

The ones I leave without a BR are ones where I ask what someones preference is and since it is someones opinion, how can I pick a BR for that? If I did, then I would feel bias, since I would pick someone who has similar taste that I have..
Besides, the BR I don't think has anything to do with reputation or earnings, does it? Just the reply is the best and you can't say that an opinion is the best, because in that, there is no right or wrong..

yes i think it hard to choose a best result sometimes.some are just outstanding responses and you can just mark them best response, but some are hard as they are all good responses and it hard to choose.most time i just go with my gut feeling which is the best.i have many unresolved discussions as i have found it too difficult to decide.cheers sue

Thanks Sue :)
I like it when there is an outstanding and it is easy but there are those discussions where it is definitely a difficult choice and I sometimes have to leave them and come back a while later or on a different day and hopefully be able to make a decision then!
